EXERCISE CLOTHING
when it comes to exercise you need to be comfortable in what you are wearing. The clothes you workout in have got to move with your body and stretch if the are tight fitting, they can’t restrict you in any way. Lets look at the options…
Well the options are endless, thats the end of that then! Not really.
Choosing the right kind of clothing for your particular exercise is important but there are no real rules as such. It is up to you, what might feel comfortable for one person may not fit into another persons comfort zone. Some people like to wear less and show more of their body, where as others like to keep covered up. Some people like to wear loose clothing where as others like tight body hugging clothes.
when I am weight training Iwear sweat pants and top and then when I have warmed up these come off, underneath I wear shorts and and a T-back tank. These are great because they cause no restriction in movement and if you are training in front of a mirror then you can see your leg, arm and shoulder muscles in action. When I see my muscles flexing as I workout it adds to that motivation for sqeezing that extra couple of reps. I always wear a good supportive pair of trainers and a good pair of sports socks to avoid any blisters.
There are endless places to buy sports wear online or offline, with offline having the advantage of being able to try the clothes on before you buy them. Always make sure you stretch your limbs and torso in the clothes before you train in them for the first time to make sure they don’t restrict any body movements or chafe, also that they don’t expose any part of your body you didn’t want to exposed. This way you can be confident when you go to your gym that your workout clothes won’t let you down and you can train in comfort.
So the main things to remember when getting your exercise clothing is comfort, support and non restrictive.
