THE FOOD AND THE EXERCISE

Here we are going to look at the best way to lose any weight you might want to shed and tone up that body. Lets achieve a good healthy lifestyle.

The Food

Don’t go mad to start with, if you cut out all your favourite foods this is a sure way to fail. You need to gradually cut down on the amount of these foods you eat. A simple example might be, say you eat three chocolate bars a day. In your first week cut this down to two and a half. If it takes longer than a week to get used to this then so be it, but then cut it down to two a day and then one. You don’t have to cut it out altogether, we all like a bit of what we fancy. The key is moderation. Do this with all the unhealthy foods you eat and try and replace them with fresh healthier produce. If you eat a lot of take aways then try and gradually cut this down to one a month as a treat. This will not only save you money but you will enjoy it all the more.

The other thing with food is to not over do it on portion size. I see so many peoples plates piled up with food, this can not only make you bloated and uncomfortable after a meal but you probably have taken on excessive calories. Its better to have smaller portions. If you eat large portions then gradually cut these down over a period of time and your body will adapt.

The Exercise Program

The only way you will achieve the body you desire is to combine your healthy balanced diet with an exercise program. That is the bottom line. Now you don’t have to go mad and become a fitness fanatic, unless you want to of course. If you suddenly throw yourself into a type of exercise that you don’t like again this is a sure fire quick road to failure.

Take the time to think about it. Do you like running? Do you like tennis? do you like the idea of joining a gym with all the lastest exercise machines. Well for me it was easy because I love to exercise with weights and I love cycling. But I also love tennis so this summer I will start to try and play once a week.

Think back to what kind of sports you enjoyed when you were at school. Thats a good place to start and if you enjoyed it at school you will probably enjoy it now. If you have racked your brains and you just don’t know what you want to do then write a list of every kind of exercise or sport you can think of and just pick one. Try this for a week or two and if you like it great if you don’t pick another.

So do you think I am right, well thats your desicion but it is working for me. I am eating healthier, enjoying my exercise and I feel great.

The thing to remember is take small steps, don’t try and achieve the great body overnight because it just won’t happen. But work on your eating habits to eventually be eating a balanced healthy diet and combine this with a exercise program you enjoy. Do consult with your Doctor for advice before you make any changes to your lifestyle.

Forget the so called magic diets and take action on a new healthier lifestyle.
