KEEPING UP THE EXERCISE
How are you doing with your exercise program. I hope you are doing well. I thought I would write a post with an update on how I have been doing. I started my exercise program in the middle of January and had high hopes of sticking it out for good, to make it part of my lifestyle. Having tried many times in the past and always fell back to my old lifestyle of no real exercise and to many take aways, this time I was determined to keep it up longer than a couple of months.
So here I am 5 months after I started and to my delight I am still at it and enjoying it. This is a real achievement to me and I am pleased with my efforts. I have lost the jelly belly, I didn’t have a huge belly but it wobbled all the same. I now have a tight mid section with full ab muscles on display. My Pecs, Delts, Traps, Biceps and Triceps are all firm and defined and my legs are firm and strong. So my whole body is toned and muscular without any wobbly bits and I feel great.
I think one of the biggest things to help me keep on track and carry on working out every week was setting myself personal goals and scheduling my workouts on the calender. When I complete a workout I tick it off the calender and write next to it well done keep it up. If I miss a workout I put a big red cross on the calender and give the reason why I missed it. Thankfully I haven’t missed many, which is good. This really does help me to keep motivated, although my biggest motivation now is looking in the mirror and wanting to maintaining my new toned body that looks back at me.
So has it been worthwhile so far ? OH Yes definitely, I can’t recommend a good exercise program enough, apart from the health benefits now I regularly exercise I look and feel great.
So if you started around the same time as I did then I hope it is going as well for you as it is for me. If you are just starting then good luck and remember set yourself goals and record your workouts on a calender it really does help.
