Motivation-continued
ITS HARD TO STAY MOTIVATED
If you read my last post you will know I was talking about staying motivated with your exercise program. I had written an example of a careers version of our reason, destination and our short term goals and our long terms goals. So now I am going to apply this to the future of my health and fitness.
My Reason
Why do I want to get fit and healthy ? I want a muscular toned body because I prefer that to my unfit flabby present one and I know by being fitter and healthier I will be able to enjoy more things now and later on in life.
My Destination
How do I want to end up ? To be fit and healthy and take full advantage of my retirement and be able and mobile to enjoy all the pleasures of a work free life in my later years.
My Short Term Goal
What is my first step ? I will lose 2 inches from my waste within the next six months whilst toning all my muscle groups.
My Next Short Term Goal
Whats next ? to reduce my body fat and reveal my abs within the next year.
Again this would go in steps until I achieve my long term goal and my destination.
My Long Term Goal
Where will my steps be taking me ? To my own ultimate body image and fitness and to maintain this for my destination.
So with constant goals and dead lines I will stay motivated to achieve each one. What is also a good motivation tool to go along side this is to keep a training log of your measurements so you can read your progress and a photo log as well if you want so you can see your progress. The bigest motivation tool of all is your mind set you have to know that you will achieve what you are setting out to, if you don,t believe you can do it or you have any doubts then you won’t succeed. To succeed you have to know 100% that you that you will achieve it.
I hope this will help some of you that find it hard to motivate yourselves, to keep up your training. Just remember your reason to start in the first place and don’t forget your destination. Regularly read your reason, destination and goals, and know you will succeed.
Good luck with your motivation.
