Muscle definition

If you like muscles then you probably want them to show up as much as possible, there is no point in having muscles if you can’t see them. The reason that they will not stand out proudly is because they might be covered in a layer of fat, which just gives the appearance of being big.Muscle definition is not about size, you can have it whether you have small of big muscles. If you take up weight training to build muscle and even get hooked to become a bodybuilder then your priority may be size, but if you do not strive for definition then you will just look big. On the other hand you may not start training for size, you might want to just get the muscles showing up, so you look good on the beach.

In both instances the muscles will stay hidden if you are not eating properly, to get ripped and have those muscles come out into the open you will need a low body fat and the only way to get your body fat down is to eat the right diet. If you are training like mad and the muscles are still hiding then it is probably your diet that is letting you down.

You are going to need to make sure you are not eating to bigger meals, it is better to eat around six times a day making them small meals than it is to eat three huge meals a day. Drink plenty of water as well as the small meals. Always try and eat fresh food and stay away from the processed muck that contains things we have never heard of, these foods also contain a lot of salt and sugar and they will not do any favors for losing body fat.

If you are training for size as well as definition then you will still need to keep your weights heavy, but you can keep the reps up to around 10 rather than dropping them to low. The most important thing to remember though is that you will need to eat the right diet to get that layer of fat off of those muscles and on show.
