IS MY DIET HEALTHY

When I mention diet I don’t mean that I want to lose weight. I mean is my diet healthy am I getting nutrition in my diet. Well let me tell you something weird. Up until recently I have had probably a normal sort of diet, i’m not saying it was unhealthy or  that it was healthy. I would have a few meals a week with meat and veg, some processed easy meals and a few take aways. Thrown in with that would be snacks and chocolate. My alcohol intake was probably more than it should have been. Now was this unhealthy? Well I don’t think it was as bad as it could have been, but it certainly wasn’t what I would call a nutrition diet.

I will get to the weird thing in a minute but first.

Nutrition Diet. Now in my opinion this sort of diet is what you would find a top athelete or body builder would be eating. Do I really need to be that strict with myself to get the toned fit body I am working towards. A body builder or athelete  might have to balance their protein and carbs etc… Their bodies have to be in peak condition to compete with others. I am not doing this to compete, only to get fitter than I am currently and more toned.

So the weird thing is I have been working out now for a couple of weeks, I know this isn’t long and up until this point I have not thought about a nutrition diet or any other diet.

But the weird thing is I have just naturally started to buy and eat healthier foods. Why? I don’t know. But I have started to eat fruit which I never did before. I have started to buy all fresh food and get this, prepare it myself. Yes this has even got me into cooking, which I am also enjoying.

I don’t know whether everybody who starts to exercise on a regular basis goes through this, but I certainly am. I am not saying it is a nutrition diet, but it’s a lot more healthy than the diet I was eating. I still have the odd bit of chocolate and I still drink vino and I haven’t even thought about take aways, but I know I will at some point and when I do I will probably have one. The thing is the take aways will be less frequent, I am enjoying cooking nice fresh food and I think although my diet now is not a nutrition diet a top athelete might consume it is a lot healthier than it used to be.

So the weird  thing is that my diet has change naturally through regular exercise and that can only be good right.
