Strength Exercise

Training with weights can be a time consuming workout, targeting different muscle groups can take time. In our modern society we rush around and always seem to be busy, so it is understandable to struggle to find time for our all important workout.

To target different muscle groups may take up to much time for a lot of busy people. So if we want to build a little muscle and keep our strength levels up, what are the best exercises for us to do, is there just a handful of exercises that we can perform with Weights that will build our strength and muscle.

The good news is there is and not even a handful in fact there are three compound exercises that will build muscle and strength. They are known as the Big Three and if you haven’t got the time to go through every muscle group and target it on a regular basis then these are the three for you.

Compound exercises work more than one muscle group at once, they work a combination of muscle groups. They build strength and muscle. The big three then are the ones to concentrate on if you have not got the time for long workouts but you still want to work all your muscles and build strength.

The Big Three

The Bench Press is a great muscle builder and is going to work the upper body, mainly hitting the chest and triceps. It is an easy exercise to perform whether you do incline or flat doesn’t really matter which ever you prefer. If you have built this exercise up to heavy weights it is always important to have a spotter there for you in case you have difficulty in getting the weight back up to the bars.

The Squat is a great overall body buster and has the power to wipe you out, so don’t try and load the weight on to impress, build your weight gradually and as your weight gets heavier it is probably a good idea to have a spotter. Although The Squat will hit the legs hard it is an overall muscle builder and probably the best exercise of all.

The Deadlift is another killer exercise and in fact you don’t see many in the gym these days that actually perform this wonder of an exercise. A great overall muscle builder hitting upper and lower body. If you want mass then deadlift.

These three exercises will build overall body strength and muscle, if you are training to get bigger then the Big Three are a must. So if you want a workout that will hit the whole bod, but don’t have time for all those different muscle targeting exercises then you know that just these three exercises will serve you well and won’t take up hours of your time.
