Training With Weights
If we eat a healthy diet, do some aerobic exercise and some weight training then we have got a good combination for the most effective recipe for fat loss and muscle tone. There are many that are put off with using weights as part of their exercise routine, why is this?
The reason why people are reluctant to train with weights is because they connect them psychologically with bodybuilding, they think that if they use weights then they will end up with huge bulging muscles. All Bodybuilders would be happy if all it took to get those award winning muscles was to just start training with weights. Obviously they have to use weights and heavy ones, but it takes years and a lot of hard work to gain the muscle size these guys have created.
For the average Joe that has no fantasy of competing in bodybuilding competitions and just wants to strip some fat and tone the muscles and get the right shape to their body should seriously think about weights. Training With Weights can restore muscle tissue that reduces with age and carry on burning fat hours after a workout. Weight training also increases the metabolic rate.
As we get older we lose muscle tissue and gain fat, this is what the term ‘Middle Age Spread’ is all about, but it doesn’t have to happen or at the very least it can be slowed down dramatically.
There is no need for Men or Women to worry about gaining huge muscle size by incorporating weights into their exercise program, but if you want to restore and maintain muscle tissue then it is a great way to do so. A combination of a healthy diet, a good aerobic exercise along with a good weight training program will do wonders for reducing your body fat, increase your muscle tissue therefore improving the way your body looks, getting all the curves in the right places.
On top of that you will feel stronger and healthier with higher energy levels. Stop associating weights with bodybuilders and start to use them for your benefit, use weights as part of your Exercise Program.
Below are a selection of books that are all about weight training, don’t be put off by any pictures of bulging muscles, they are not going to put a picture of an overweight person on the cover or doing the exercises and like I said it would take years and a certain type of training to create oversized muscles.
I am sure there will be a book in this selection that will suit you.
